Andrew Florita, a Licensee Sales Executive for SMS Masterminds, has experienced impressive growth here during his nearly two years with the company, not to mention an impressive travel schedule.
Andrew started his career with SMS Masterminds in April of 2014 working part-time in the sales department. His intense drive and dedication to sales resulted in a move up to full-time status in four weeks.
From June of 2014 to January of 2015, he ran the SmartAppointment department with impressive energy and drive for success. By January, his passion for training was put to work when he was promoted to Territory Development Specialist, traveling across the US with Spencer Cooper to train new licensees in their markets.
In December, his dedication was recognized once again when he became a Licensee Sales Executive, bringing him back to headquarters: “I love traveling, but my heart is in San Luis Obispo with the team” he said.
When asked about his top experiences on the road, he was quick to mention his time in New Orleans, LA, where he witnessed firsthand how small businesses can be brought back to life with our technology, and the excitement our licensees have for our solutions.
“One of the most exciting parts of the traveling was walking into a business I’d never before heard of and meeting the owner. We’d make an appointment to come back back a day later to demonstrate the technology, and we would end up signing the new business right there on the spot,” said Florita. “Between Spencer and I – there wasn’t a single market in the US where we weren’t able to close a deal with a merchant. We were able to do this while spending only three days with each licensee; that’s how amazing this technology is,” he added.
Though much of the initial contact with merchants across the US is made via telephone or over email, merchants and licensees still get to experience the face-to-face contact of a live meeting and demonstration. “It’s great to be the face and voice of SMS Masterminds to our licensees and their merchants. To see the excitement on their faces when we introduce the technology,” said Andrew, “is really rewarding.”
We are thrilled to have Andrew back in the office every day, and we enjoy hearing stories from his time on the road.
